I just picked up a 1993 E150 conversion van. I had to replace the clock spring. When I reconnected the batterie, i am know getting a 44 code. Which is RH Primary crash not installed correctly. If I am understanding the code correctly. Now my question is does anyone know where this is located. I have been all over the right front of the van. I have found the primary (behind the hood latch), and the safing sensor (behind the right kick panel). I am hoping that someone can tell me where it is. Thanks
I just got off the phone with a body shop. I was told that there is only two sensors. He told me that the van might have been in a small fender bender enough to have a partial reading. He told me that i would have to have someone rest the airbag system with a computer.
Shouldn't disconnecting the batterie reset the system?

Reason: Talked to body shop
If your talking about the side impact air bag sensor, it may be in the door. I have seen many manufacturers put side impact sensors in the front doors.
Just wanted to do an update. I found the third sensor and it is located on the outside of the frame near the transmissin crossmember. It might be just a grounding problem. I still have some testing to do. I talked to a dealer and they are not sure if they can clear the code because the van is to "old". I don't like talking to dealers that don't know what they are talking about.
It tooking some searching to get the right answers. It all depends on who you talk to depend on the answer. Different dody shops and dealer gave me different answers for the same question.
