c-6 rebuild gone wrong!
ok i rebuilt the transmisson step by step following the haynes manual i bought , but it has some issues.The tranny only has forward in every posistion including reverse and it seems like it only has one gear because it never shifts. I have not taken it out of the driveway to avoid damage. Any help would be great

Sounds like valve body issues...when i rebuilt mine for my 360 there were different kits for the different years. Mine wouldnt shift auto but it would shift if i selected the gear(had floor shifter installed and manual shift/auto valvebody) I guess the easiest thing to do is drop the oil in a clean bucket...i get em from homedepot for $3, then take out the valve body and inspect everything...dirt, grim, the ballbearings used for the shifting and the springs. Make sure the ***** arnt upside with the spring ontop or vis-versa. I had a few issues myself...but for me it turned out to be the valve body.
