Just bought an 04 f350 with Factory fender guards. Most aftermarket providers list available molded units as , not for use with this option. I've gotten with the parts counter and found that, even ford list flat units for these trucks only. I'm looking for the molded type to blend with the flares, but haven't found a vender. Anyone else had any luck ?
I bought a set (4) "Ford" black molded mudflaps from the dealer I bought my 04' from. I think they were $80.00 for the set and are real nice sturdy mudflaps. Maybe they are not offered anymore I bought mine in 04' when I bought the truck. Cabelas has some nice mud flaps that will fit your truck.
When I got my 05 Excursion, I too wanted the molded ones. But, Ford did not make a complete set of fronts and rears for my '05. (Well, they said they did, but they did not match each other)
The aftermarket ones that I found required drilling, which I did not want to do.
As Racer mention, I wound up going for Duraflaps. They fit right, no drilling, look good...and in my opinion...offer unmatched protection from road debris.
Have tried several brands and have even made several of my own out of semi flaps and weights. However I found out about duraflap and ordered some for my '04. Best flap I have come by. Nice, thick and easy to install. Did both front and back with the no-drill flap in about 30 minutes.
I also vote for the Duraflap. Put them on my truck during a trip to Southern California in February while towing 2 motorcycles on a trailer. Great support over the phone while ordering, quick delivery, EASY installation (I sprung extra for the no-drill install, glad I did), very high quality material.... even came with extra supporting brackets so the flaps don't sail up at highway speeds (and although I'm glad to have them I thought that was overkill, as the flaps are sturdy enough without the supporting bracket)... great looks, I think... and since I've come home, all my buddies are noticing them and asking after them.. what a difference in the snow, salt and crud I wasn't throwing onto the bikes on the return trip...worth every penny
Did anyone address his question? He has factory fender flares. I know the husky mud guards that I have wont work with flares. They are fit to the fender only.
I have the chrome fender accents, which changes the original shape of the fender somewhat and the duroflaps are a perfect fit. The way they mount I would bet they would fit like a glove.
Weathertech has new molded ones(w/ flares) that are drilless. I can't remember what years they are for specifically except that they were available for my '05. One of the vendors here has them, I can't remember who though........
Weathertech flaps are just like the ones I had on my '04. Just as soon not had any at all. Reason I switched to duraflap; more coverage. No mud or ice on exhaust or step rails now. Just my 2 cents worth.
