Talking Garret?

Does the stock Garret turbo have a 1.00 A/R Turbine housing? Never looked until yesterday to see if maybe i was moded for the WW before i bought the truck. My truck sings pretty loud with just the 6637 Filter, checked the fins pretty close on my stock wheel and it looks brand new, bummer though no WW inside Thanks B

The turbine (exhaust) side of a stock truck turbo is 0.84 A/R. The compressor (intake) side is a 1.0 A/R, but the A/R ratio on the compressor side typically isn't something we take into consideration. It's the turbine side that has the most impact. Also, my stock turbine housing was not marked with the A/R ratio.

My stock turbo, sitting on the back of the workbench for over four years and now accompanied by a BB, has a 1.15 compressor housing... the exhaust side is a .84
What gives?

the 1.00 is marked on the side you can read from the passenger side. Is that the compressor or the turbine im thinking the compressor?

The aluminum (compressor, intake) is the 1.0. The cast iron one is the turbine and it drives the compressor via a shaft.
