I tossed this out in another post, but it's worth repeating. This is a good trick when wiring back lights with a relay - plasti-dip the relay! I don't know if anybody else does this, but get a can of plasti-dip (not the spray) and dip your wired relay into the stuff for 2-3 coats after you get the relay all wired up and make sure it all works correctly. I put a touch of dielectric silicone on the contacts before I dip mine. I'm in the snowy/salty North and would corrode up and rot off a relay every season until I started doing this. 4 trucks later and I never had a relay go bad after I started doing this. Once the relay is sealed with the plasti-dip you can screw it down wherever is convenient and forget about it. Probably would be helpful in salt water locations, too.
I went with the KC backup light kit on both of my trucks. Yes, they han down from the bumper, but they throw alot of light and are easy to adjust. All you have to do is wire in a switch which the directions show you how to do. Also, there were already holes in the bumper for the lights. The only thing is, i am not sure they are completely water proof...
Not the best pictures, but you can see how the lights sit...
