gear swap!

evening, own a 97 f250 4x4 ld, 10.25 rear end running 3:73's as she remains stock in that dept. slapped a 3" rancho and a set of 35" mudders and the obvious happened, now while on the highway she sucks. want to get 4:56's but have heard i needed to swap yoke's as well, is this true? where do you all suggest i get the gears from and will i need to swap anything in the front?

Don't know about the yoke's but if you do gears out back you have to do the front to match.

Two style yokes were used for your semi-float 10.25. That crazy 7 lug thing uses a "late" style 1350 yoke. If you use the same "late" style gears you willl be able to use your same yoke. The late gears were considered late after 1994 production. US gears looks like they have everything you need. And yes everyone, this is a semi-float 10.25" axle, with a lug pattern of 7 on 150mm. Really makes you look twice, and even after a close inspection, you will find yourself counting them again,,, seven!
You will have to change the front gears to match the rear ratio.
