Pcv Valve
I Have Hesitation The First Second Or 2 Of Exceleration Then Smooth.
Ive Changed The Fuel Filter , Air Filter, Pcv Breather Filter, Plugs Are New, O2 Sensor New, Wires, Distributer.
Also Cleaned The Throttle Body. Could It Be My Pcv Valve. I Also Think It Might Be My Tps.
I Dont Have A Volt Metter That Why I Havent Tested The Tps.
Thanks For The Help.
Hesitation can be so wide spread. it can be timing, weak fuel pump, sock/filter in the gas tank, spark plugs, rotor, cap, wires, (Matter of fact, the last time I had a hesitation problem with my focus I changed everything. Still a problem. I said screw it and replaced the plug wires. Perfect ever since).
Can you slowly rev the engine and hear the hesitation? Can you get it to hold at that hesitation? If you can, then you can experiment. Good luck. Later... Mike....
Maybe This Will Help' The Hesitaion Goes Away A Little When The Truck Has Been Running For About 5 10 Mins. When You Hit The Gas The Truck Kinda Jumbles Over It Self And Then Catches It Self And Then Smothes Out.
to be vented to the outside. It is really just a minor emissions-systems related device. A clogged valve does more harm to the engine seals and gasket if the gases become trapped in the crankcase. If it is blocked, a small quantity of crankcase gas will be blocked from re-entering the throttle body, and shouldn't throw off the computer or shifts.
There are a few other simple things that may be causing your trouble. First take a good look at your vacuum lines, check for broken lines, rotted?missing/brken rubber fittings. there are also two vacuum reservoirs under the hood that need inspection..especially the metal "coffee-can" reservoir mounted on the passenger front wheel well. It rusts out, and bleeds off your vacuum continuosly.
second,... check your IAC, it usually sits on top of the throttle body inlet, I'm not sure what engine you have, my 4.9L IAC is right on top where the air hose meets the TB, the IAC can be cleaned out, it gets full of crud and causes rough performance.
3rd ...pull your diagnostic codes.
