starter staying on

I am having problems with the starter staying on as soon as I turn the switch to the on position. f250 2002

new starter cured mine when it did that

new starter did not work
can't find anything along the electrical lines.....

was it a new starter or a rebuilt one? I have not had good luck with rebuilt starters.

Check your relay ( if you have one ) next, look for wires shorting out by the exhaust ( if any mods done down there).

Appreciate the input, so far this is what I have tried - replaced with brand new starter, fuse #113 has 12 volts when key in run position, replaced lower ignition switch under column, can not find a relay anywhere on firewall or fender. One note, radio only works in auxillary position. No fuses are blown. Thank you again if anyone has an idea - still trying it all.........

Does It Continue To Turn If The Key Is In The Off Position???

who makes "NEW" starters?
generally, they are all rebuilt

By the way, a couple other questions, diesel, gas? do you have remote start?

thanks for the reply its a 5.4gas,it turns offin off posision,and i do not have the romote start
