Van turbo is on!
Thanks to all who shared their nuggets of knowledge with me to get this swapped in. So far I notice a little bit more lag off the bottom end with a definite added "whump" in mid to top end (although I haven't had it at or near WOT yet). Going to give the turbo ~300 miles and then gradually get on it. Surging, as far as I can tell, is long gone. Went with the ATS housing at the same time and stuck with the stock wheel. Turbo whistle is noticeably louder and higher pitched. I also took the foil off of the intercooler tubes and had them powdercoated to look anodized blue. So far, all grins!!!

Glad to know there's another van turbo successfully instaled. 
You're going to like not having any more surge, especially while towing. It's nice to be able to keep your foot in the throttle and not have surge.

The more I drive it, the more it seems to settle in with its surroundings..... I dunno, maybe it's the other way around and I'm just me getting used to the turbo. It just seems to get stronger and stronger the more I put my foot into it. THIS IS FRIGGIN FUN!!!
