AC problems & new TSB
Well, I just had the priviledge of paying in excess of $800 for repairing two totally unrelated yet occurring within 2 days of each other A/C failures. The Blend motor for the rear AC lost three teeth on the gear and clicked and clunked whether it was off or on. Then the front AC started automatically shifting the air flow to the defrost vents (it also had the reduced air flow after a period of time that we were already ignoring). The moral of the story is they have just come out with a new TSB that has the tech add a thermostatic cycling switch to the front ac system and reroute the entire wiring harness for the AC system (or so they say). We will see if this fixes it. I just wanted to let people know there is a new TSB for the crappy AC failures in (at least) the 2004 Expedition.
