94 ranger trans problems
I have a 94 ranger 4.0 v-6 with 4WD and a manual transmission. I recently purchased a transmission from a friend , worked just fine when it was in his truck, put it in mine and the only thing that works is park, no other gears at all. Any ideas? Thanxs

What did you do to put it in, just drop it into place? There are several things you have to do to swap from a manual to an auto, and only by you telling us what you did can we see if you missed anything (not implying that you did, just want to be sure).
When you put it in another gear, does it just act like it's in park? Do the RPMs drop down on the engine as if you're holding the brakes? Does the engine die?
Did you swap the whole driveline or just the transmission?
