I know that I have been draining fuel out of the drain tube, it hasnt been to bad...But today I noticed a stronger smell, and now its up in the engine compartment! Heres a pic of a little pool I found on top of the engine block area, and there are a couple of other ones, one puddle of fuel being under the turbo. Whats up with this?
Once the Torx bolts on the drain valve came a little loose. I snugged them up and that solved thr problem.
I also had the fuel line that runs from the passenger side of the fuel bowl (sorry, not sure if that the correct name, but it's the bowl that houses the fuel filter) and around the back over the valley and connects to the front of the driver side head, rub a small hole in the bottom as it was rubbing on the drain line. I was able to patch with some JB weld to get me home.
If it is not the drain valve check the fuel line to the passenger side head under the GPR mount there is a little metal p-clip that can loosen and rub on the fuel line
Cool, thanks for the help guys. Is there a common store that sells the whole O-ring kit for the fuel bowl? I want to fix this on sunday, therefore, I don't want to order anything.
Should I also replace the O-rings for the water in fuel sensor and the fuel pressure relief valve? Do you think that this might be a part of the problem? And where do you commonly pick up these o-rings?
If you have a local hydraulics store, with the measurements that Alan supplied, you should be able to get a couple of Viton o-rings from them.
The sensor and fpr (fuel pressure regulator) are normally not much of a problem for leakage and I wouldn't bother with them if they show no signs of being wet.

Better watch that oil fill cap and hope none of that ULSD gets on it
Got it all fixed up. I ended up just buying a whole new drain valve. It looks like a different design then the one that I took off the truck. The one on the truck had O rings half the size of the new drain valve. So far no leakage, at least when I started the truck... Thanks guys!
