regearing question

I've got an 88 with 351w, c-6 and 3.08 gears. what i,m wanting to know is how much difference would I see if I swapped in 3.73 or maybe 4.10's. right now i'm running 31x10.5's but later I'm planning on 33's. now i'm not looking for speed just want to improve on the low end. with the 3.08's it runs 2400 rpm's at 55 mph, if I swap gears how much of an increase should I expect at 55 mph on rpm's. don't get me wrong, it's not under powered by any means but I would like to see more power on the take off. at take off it won't hardly turn the tire's, once it gets above 25 mph it,s a beast. I know that taller gears is what I need just not sure witch one's to go with.

thank's
scott

Okay... on my '86, the 3.55s aren't enough to even try to turn the tires:-X23. I am going to go with 4.56s because I plan on a lift and bigger tires(like 35s or bigger) fairly soon.

Scott, try this [link:www.ford-trucks.com/articles/gearcalc.php|Gear Calculator].
It will give you a pretty good feel for how changes in gearing or tire size affect performance.
