Wierd Fuel delivery Problem

ok, had two full tanks of gas, back tank ran out, switched to the front tank. the truck stopped running and would not start. the front tank was all pumped into the back tank. i replaced the fuel tank switch on the frame 100.00 at the dealer and that solved my problem or so i thought. it runs fine on the front tank, but if i ttry to use there rear i hear the pump or whatever that is under the cab whining, and the truck wants to stall, its ok at idle but it wont drive. if i switch back to the front tank the whine goes away, and it runs ok. HELP it was running fine on the rear tank until the tanks switch went out.

Your switch is wired backwards AND you need a fuel pump in the tank that's not working.

you need at least 40 lbs. of fuel press. to run that engine. if press. is down, assuming you have a gauge to check this, check for restiction in fuel line, including new switch. if no res. change pump in tank.
