You can get gas tanks that go in the bed and represent a tool box. They hold a whole lot too!

i spend a fair amount of time with my truck out in the middle of nowhere - so, gas is nice. LOTS of gas is REALLY nice. the rest is gravy.
AEROTANK (thanks for the link ) makes a 30 gal. replacement tank...its only a mere 5 gal. larger - but - its a start...and im still lookin'.

25 gallons is no more dangerous than 75. If either go off your going to die..lol... so carrying and extra fuel tank really isnt any different... now carrying a bunch of lose plastic jugs seems more dangerous to me.

Yes, but more fuel = bigger hazard as far as the DOT is concerned. That applies to any method of carrying fuel.. be it an aux tank, 9 5 gallon tanks, etc, as long as you have more than x gallons of gasoline carried on your vehicle, you are considered hazardous and require placards, etc. Diesel does not have the same restrictions, which is why there are such large tanks avalible. But note that almost all say "diesel only".
