I Have 19000 Miles On My 2005 Ex And The Rotors Are Now Warped, Is This Covered By My Factory Warranty? What Has Everyone Been Doing About This Issue? I Know Many Trends Have Been Started In The Past, But I Need Some Advise Quick Before I Call My Dealer.
most dealers have not been replacing the rotors due to them being wear items, however my local dealer took care of 3 sets on my 00 EX. Once I got out of warranty I have put Performance Friction rotors and pads on the 00, my 02 and now my 04. Not only fixes the problem but also increases stopping performance dramatically.
Nope the factory warranty won't touch you're warped rotors.
You'll need to get them to a machine shop and have them machined/turned.
It's easy to warp a rotor. They get hot just driving (DUH) and go through a puddle of cold water, that can do it. A good hard stop on the highway..........
