Dang it does move
I have never had occasion to floor my truck until today (too cheap to waste the gas). I had a Chevy Duramax that was blocking me from getting to the outside lane. We were only doing about 25-30mph. I sped up and he sped up so I floored it, as did he, and it was no contest. 
I left him behind and he just gave up. I don't know if his truck wasn't running well or not, but I was impressed with the V-10 performance and can't imagine what the 3 valve is capable of. No wonder you 3 valve guys have BSEG's. I can't believe I have been driving this unit since new and have never dropped it.

I justify nailing the gas by telling myself I'm cleaning the carbon out.
And based on several previous motors I've taken apart, there's no carbon inside

Waste of gas? I think not! Gas well spent! And those poor oil company's need as much business as you can give them, not to mention their employees!!
As for the fact that you're cheap... well, I saw your tastes when we went to the Car Show, and they are far from cheap!!!
