locking gas cap removal

Any ideas on how to remove a locking gas cap with NO key? I have a 69 f100, and the cab gas tank is the one I can not get off...

LOL I have had that same thing happen me, the way i got mine off was take a big screw driver put it where the key goes push down on it and turn with a pair of vice grips that should remove it Just make sure that you dont drop anything down the tank.
You will have to buy a new cap. Bill W

Thanks Bill, the nice thing is that I can pull the tube out with the cap still on out the side of the cab and put it in a vice. I'll try anything...

With the tube out and a pair of long screwdrivers to retract the pins you can get the cap off without pounding or forcing.

Just drive it to a locksmith and have him come out to the truck with his special tool remove the cap then go back to the office with him and buy 2 sets of keys from him.

All those key tumblers are coded and these guys will have that off real quick without damaging it.
