Somebody asked we a while back for the phone number to call and have Ford send a build sheet for your truck...and I just found my note. Sorry for the delay.
Here's the story, when I bought my F250 several weeks ago a buddy of mine mentioned that you can call Ford and they will MAIL you a build sheet showing the original build of your truck. So I called, they asked for the VIN and she said it would be researched and mailed to me....and about a week later it showed up!
They will not give you any info over the phone because they forward the request to a resarcher who actually looks up the build.
So, here's the number (boy are they gonna hate me in the research dept LOL)
800-392-FORD (3673).
The letter starts with the build date and location and then goes on to list all of the options put on the truck.
Really nice to have for those of us who buy second hand units.
You can get also get the build sheet by emailing the Ford customer service center. I think I got there through the MyFord site. The email address is crcfmc@ford.com It only took a couple of days. They requested the following info:
Name:
Address:
City:
State:
Zip Code:
Daytime Phone Number:
Home Phone Number:
Vehicle Identification Number:
Odometer Reading:
I did the build sheet via the e-mail route. Sent in the request on the road, got home and had a phone message to look for the sheet in my e-mail. Can't believe that they even offer this service.

Joe,
What is the catch. How much do they bill for $$$$.
Cougar, you think like me but believe it or not it is free.
Ed,
I sent a request via email and within a few hours a lady responded saying she was going to mail me my build sheet. I was really surprised on how fast she responded. Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for the info. I just called and requested build sheets for my SD and Mustang. (Worth a shot on the Stang since I was told there are none for them.)
Unless these are the same as an OASIS report? That I have for the Stang (any service dept can run one). Cool service none-the-less
