fan barley blowing, is there a filter to change?
I have had my 88 f250 7.3 diesel, about 3 weeks now. since the day I got it all the speed settings for the fan blow, but it doesnt seem normal. I have both passenger vents closed to direct all the air on me, and the amount of air coming out seems to be about half what it should. Is this because the truck is old and I am comparing it to a 95 ranger and 97 f350? Or do these trucks have a air filter for the interior heating and cooling system? If there is a filter how do i change it, I am almost certain if there is one, its clogged, there is a thick layer of dust inside my guages, and there was alot on the factory radio i removed last week. Thanks in advance.

You don't have a air filter. But it does bring in air through the cowl. I would check to see that you don't have a bunch of leaves and litter blocking the area below your passenger side windshield wiper.

Pull the fan motor under the hood and have a look around in there. A vacuum will help alot. Leaves get chewed up by the fan and then get tossed allover either the A/C evaporator coil, or the heater core. My '84 was loaded with leaves, and my current '83 was, too.
