I got a friend with a 1994 F-150 5.8 4x4 that he just got. He is having some trouble with the anti-theft going off (staying on) and has had to unplug it . How do you go about reseting the anti-theft system?
so you want to shut the alarm off? as in valet mode so you can unlock the doors with the key and the alarm not go off? OR does the alarm sound after you lock it and no one has touched it?
if you want to put it into valet mode just press the red blinking light once. if the alarm goes off when it should not, you may need to replace the motion sensor which i believe is located in the alarm spreaker its self
Ok here is what happens. It is a factory anti-theft. I am not talking about the panic button. The module is to the right of the driver seat about half way between the driver and passenger seat under the dash. It has two connectors plugged into it. Which are both currently unplugged. When i open the door nothing goes off. When I put the key in the ignition and start the truck, or put the ignition to on or acc there is a beeping coming from the module. The beeping does not stop. The only way I have found to stop it is by unplugging the connectors plugged into the module. Please help.
