actron code P0455 evap large leak
hello i have a 1998 ford f 150 and i have a check engine light on my dash . i have bought a actron code scanner and i have a code P0455 evap emission control leak large code on my scanner. a friend a work says that it is a leaking gas cap. i have checked out my gas cap and found that the filler tube that my gas cap screws into has a grey or silver plastic sleeve at the end. it has a couple of large broken chips ot the bottom of the filler tube. that the gas cap cannot seal . is this where my leak could be comming from? would like to know if you have heard of this ok well got to go can this be my problem? broken filler tube where gas cap go into?

hey thanks well do you have any tips on changing out the gas filler tube i have bought a new filler tube and a new gas cap. is it easy to change out ? i see that there are two black hoses and hose clamps on the filler tube to the gas tank. just want to know if ther are any removal and installing tips ?
