As you read this keep in mind this is my frist truck.
2004 Lariat, screw, 5.5, 3.73, 4.4
My concern is that when drving down a certain road here (lots of imperfections in a row.. not pot holes but small dips in the road where the pavement shifted).. When driving on this little stretch, I really feel the back in "wiggle" when going doing it. It's to the point I have to really have two hand on the wheel. Does that sound normal? I would be traveling at approximately 80 km/h (~50mph).
Other then those long stretches of rough road, I have no complaints about the ride.
I love my truck.
Thanks guys.
Yup, perfectly normal. This truck does that rear end bunny hop much less than pick-ups from years past though, but yes, it almost feel like the rear end is going to swing out on you going across bumps, especially if you're on a gradual bend in the road.
I doubt there's a pick-up out there that doesn't do this.

That's exactly what it feels like...
Thanks for the help and peace of mind.
Yep, all of my trucks have done this, but once I get my tools in it it’s much less noticeable. You want scary, drive a ¾ ton from the late 70’s… almost went in the drink after hitting a bump.
hah....this truck does nothing compared to what my 95 f150 with 12 inches of lift, solid front axle, and no rear shocks for two days did....that thing the rear end was coming around on....it didn't just feel like it...stupid backordered shocks
IMHO, Ford did a great job when it comes to keeping the back end planted. My 2004 Dodge Ram would dance all over the place on rough roads, especially on corners.
I got a vision of the episode of American Chopper when the crew took that new Lincoln screw over the moguls on the Ford test track with Mikey in the back seat...

Too funny listening to those guys.

I love that show! I'm sure to DVR every episode, but it seems like they have been showing the same ones over and over lately.
I liked the episode you are talking about. I believe that was the one with D. Patrick in it. She was really hot in that episode.
I used to have a 72' 3/4 ton with 10 ply bias ply tires. You could have a flat on those tiers and not know it till you put a load on them, as long as there was 10 lbs. or so to keep the bead seated. My 04 screw handles way better than the 72 Roadrunner I used to have. There's no challenge to driving today except the idiots trying to hit you. LOL
