Great to see that the FORD blood runs thru your granddaughter veins as well. I like the stance you establish on your Slick. How did you drop the rear & what's the size of those tires?

Your suposed to be nervous before you start cutting things. Your past the point of no return now. Welcome to the DARKSIDE. I think it was here that I saw this...anyone can restore a classic, it takes a real man to cut one up.

Very Cool Pics.

Have you measured Tire bulge to tire bulge? With them sitting under the truck have you measured tire bulge to bed and tire bulge to frame? I know that tread width on a 33/19.5 is 14.3" and I know that does not count the bulge on the tire when mounted on wheels. Provided that you are not cutting the frame, keep in mind that every time you need to pull the tires off this truck (after it is built) the coil over's or shocks ,"leaf springs", even 4-link or ladder bars will have to be unbolted to get them off, with that small of a wheel opening. It does look very cool and has been done alot (that stance) but usually if you look they are under there a few inches from the wheel well.

On my 69 Mustang drag car that is 4-link with coil over's and narrowed rear end, every time the tires come on or off The coil over's have to be pulled loose and the top 4-link bars (and let some of the air out of the tires) for it to rotate down far enough to clear the stock wheel openings.

On the BRAND X pony car they sell a stretched quarter panel. They dont sell this quarter panel for 69 Mustangs. If the wheel well had to be stretched it would have to be done by hand.

I had a set of Pro-stock centerlines and McCrary tires that tire bulge to tire bulge were 19.5" 's wide. After days of measuring and looking and thinking and figuring (my truck is a narrow bed) the only way I could have made them work is if I had bought 3 inch wider fenders.

I am not saying they wont work
On my 77 I ran MT 29/18.50's (tread width was 15.5" wide) Didn't have the truck lowered and they came on and off fine (through the wheel openings)
The frame on your 66 is not as wide as the 77 that I built. Hence you have more room for tires on your 66.
