I replaced the funky carpeted kick panels with some I made of a pressbord material, and covered them with new shiny black Formica. It looks fantastic. VERY black. It looks like the same painted metal as the rest of the vehicle. Oh... and I scratched my hood up pretty good.
I made some progress on saturday, but not a lot. I left Sunday at 4:00 pm to pickup the wrecker body for my truck. It looks pretty good. I have a few bent spot to straighten up. I will be beginning a new topic with pics of wrecker body now. Tomorrow I will take the wrecker to sandblasters so I can return the trailer. Kevin
Lots of sanding on the front fenders, then fabbed a crossmember for the T-5 tranny. Just have to let the paint on the crossmember dry, then it gets bolted in.

Received what was suppose to be a Firewall Cover but mistakenly was a Custom right Inner Fender! Primered the cab and sanded, sanded, sanded. Chased a woman around the garage.
My baby is in the shop getting the hood redone since it fell when we had bad wind storms here about 3-4 weeks ago...also redoing the fuel system - electric fuel pump and braided lines...probably get the tailgate touched too while its there....funny how it is when your truck's in the shop - all these ideas come to mind while its there....
I worked on trying to free up a couple of stuck valves. Between my bouts of frustration, I scraped gaskets in anticipation of actually being able to put the engine back together some day.

Got lights and turn signals on the ranchero working. I'm just days away from road worthy enough to get it weighed. Then its a quick strip and squirt some color on it. Soon it will be my daily driver and I can sell the plastic vega before it grenades.
