i have the ex-tang tuff tonneau and i wish i would have waited...saved money and got something different....it's not tight....and i have the bows adjustted up and it's a pain in the **** to roll up also...save your money and get a retractable cover...
Don't like soft tonneaus. Like the hard type painted to match the vehicle. Reason being not only the looks but security and keeping things dry in major downpours.
I have a Truxedo low profile tonneau and like it a lot,I had one on a previous truck for over 10 yrs with no problems. I currently have one on my 06 Lariat with a 6.5 ft bed and it seems to work very well and only takes on a little bit of water during extreme rain or the drive through car wash. I found it to be of very high quality compared to some less expensive models.

my .02C
I have the Pace Edwards roll up style. It has what I'd describe as a corrugated type metal backing on the cover itself. Simple to use plus it locks, but yes, they're pricey, but worth it IMO.

The one I have was in the $1000 area, but that's in Canuck bucks. You should be able to get one in the US for less. I guess it all depends on which model from Pace Edwards that you decide on as well.
Hard A.R.E. tonneau painted to match with carpet on the underside, light, lock, installed $825.
We have those on our work F150'S, but the things I don't like about them are, you have to open the cover before you can open the tailgate (99% of the time I just open the tailgate without sliding back the cover), and they only swing up not getting completely out of the way if you want to load tall items in the bed.
I have the Extang R/T on my new truck and LOVE IT. I've had extangs before and they were good but a pain in the .....With the removable bows, adjusting for cold weather, etc. This new one is awesome and EASY to use.....Just push the button, roll it up and strap it in..........If you want a soft cover it is the way to go....
Truxedo all the way. I never thought I would like it as much as i do. It stays tight and keeps everything dry. Easy to install and a great value. Do a search and you will find lots of happy customers.
