Power fold mirrors...Don't
Hi guys
I just got a new 07 150sc and when I went to
try the mirrors for the first time they don't budge, no
sounds nothing. I checked the fuse and it was fine, I
actually changed it to a new one just to be sure. It is
the Lariat package with the heated/ chrome mirrors and
it list them as folding on the option list. Has anyone else
had this problem? I am just not excited about the dealership
tearing into my ride if I can help it. The last time I had
my SD 350 worked on it came back with more problems
than I left it with.

are your sure they are the "power" folding mirrors? The option list might just mean manual folding.
The power fold mirrors also have a puddle lamp on the bottom of the mirror, does yours?

I do believe that only the King Ranch has the power folding option. The others have the manual fold-in option. Look at the power mirror switch. If they are power folding, there will be an arrow indicating to pull back on the switch. Try pulling back on the switch. Pull back to power fold-in and pull back again to power fold out. Hope this helps.

The power folders are a new option for lariats this year, but I have yet to see one on a lariat. If you do, turn your switch to the middle and then pull back, they should fold. You more then likely have manuals though.

Thanks for the replies. It does show a little arrow on the
mirror adjustment, but I talked to the dealer this afternoon
and found out that power mirrors are just the mirror and
not the fold type, even though ford says with the power
pedals and heated mirrors that folding mirrors are combined.
So I'm manual........still happy with the truck though.

I have the same problem. I factory ordered my truck and it did not come with the Power Fold mirrors that I specificly ordered. I and am currently trying to get the mirrors installed but the dealership is telling me that they are not available for the 2007 year. I have also conteacted Ford directly and they are getting some answers for me.

I have a 2007 lariat. The power fold mirrors are an option that you can get. I paid and extra $160 to have this option installed when I ordered the truck. I use them every day when my truck goes into the garage and haven't had any problems. Good Luck

I too ordered this on the 07 fx4 will get in a few days hope they work do both sides power fold

The 07 switch will say fold on the switch unlike prior years. There have been quite a few mixups I have seen and read about with the wrong switch and wrong mirrors. There are indeed power folding mirror options in 2007.

My '07 F-150 FX4 has the Luxury Package . . . my mirrors are power folding.
Power Folding mirrors were a late availablility option though. My truck was built in January, and that was IIRC the first time they were available.
