Hello all,
Is there a way to DISABLE the daytime running lights on my
'97 f150??
I am an officer in the Lake County EMA and want to install wig-wags and I do not think I can with the DRL on.also it would look like ya know what anyway
O.K.thanks Dennis! I read the article and it makes sense. now since I have a '97 I have a module so I am assuming all I have to do is disconnect the module???
Sorry but I am not a mechanic and I can be a little SSSSLLLOOOOWW sometimes!!!
Any ideas on how to disable the DLR module on an 96 Explorer because the module is bad, I'm not getting DLR... All fuses & relays are good in the fuse panel & dist. box.
all my (idiot) lights are functioning.
THe DLR flickers on & off sometimes.
I was thinking .... doing away with the module ....& installing an after market module.... (might be cheaper in the future)
Ford's seems to be notorious for these going bad ... cause my truck's not the only one with the problem ....
The easiest way to disable the DRLs would probably be to just unplug the module which is behind the front bumper on the driver's side.
The newer modules from Ford seem to last longer than the originals.
