Ported E5AE-CA or E7 heads?

Which would flow better, ported E5AE's or ported E7's? (at least that's what I think they'll be, haven't tore into the engine yet. It's a 93 f-150 351W)

I'm guessing the e7's will flow better, but figured I'd ask anyhow.

The E7's should be better.

Both heads are nearly identical, I bet you couldn't tell the difference once the porting work is done. I have both of these at home and you can get them confused unless you can see the casting numbers.

Awesome, thanks guys. Just to be on the safe side I'll slap the E5AE's on the first engine I build. It's going to be a more mildly built engine. Basically a stock 351 HO bottom end with the ported heads, and I'll probably have the machine shop shave the head thickness down to achieve around a 9:1 comp ratio. Might do a bit of casting clean up on the stock 4bbl intake and do a few carb mods too. That ought to give me some decent power for the $$$.

Just be aware you'll have to shim the rocker arms the amount you mill the head to retain stock pushrods.

I hate to say this but...never shim rockers for that reason...if you need shorter/longer push rods get them. The rockers are set up at the proper geometry with no shims, if you shim them you will change the geometry and wear the guides out in no time at all.....been there done that. Just check how much preload you put on the lifters when you tighten the rockers down. If you get too much preload get shorter pushrods....all depends how much they mill off the head, but most of the time you will be ok.
