sending unit

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy just the sending unit for my truck? Can I get just the little sending unit box that is above the fuel pump or do I have to buy everything? If not where can I buy the whole unit without the fuel pump cause I just put a brand new pump on and I assume it would be cheaper.

Like to know more about what ?

FTE has an electrical forum for what I think you mean.

In here it is for what specifically relates to the 80-86 truck.

The place I looked at required you to buy the whole asembly for about $100. But the pump was about $85 by itself. If your pump is new, maybe you can take it off the old one and save it as a spare.
