engine miss

I have a 2002 F-350 PS with 80000 miles. while going between 10 and 35 it has missed about 4 times in last month. It felt like truck was going to die but then ran fine afterwords and it has never died. I think it has hapened about half the time when I went to push on the gas pedal. One time the engine block light came on so I stopped truck shut it down then started it couple minutes later and light never came back on. I have ran the codes and it does not have any. Do you guys think it could be the CPS? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Could be the beginning signs of a cps problem. Could also be a fuel problem, air in system, filter or pickup clogged, or pump mechanical or electrical. Could also be HPO problem. When was last oil change? Fuel filter change? Could also be throttle pedal assembly short. Among all of these is perhaps an intermittant short which can be a major PITA. It has even turned up in the steering column and in wiring inside the valve covers. Good luck.
