It`s certainly enough but it depends on the rust factor. If there isn`t any or just minor rust the price sounds like it`s in the ball park.
I hate rust repair as it`s some thing I don`t really want to try, I rather just twist wrenches.
The panel is somewhat on the rare side so it is probably worth this kind of money to someone.
yeah, the panel might be in the right range, but the pick-up i'm thinking is a couple of $$ high, but like you say, it depends on the overall condition...
pretty nice finds, there was a 59/60ish Mercury panel sitting in a yard in my town for a long time, I always wanted that thing.
and yeah, it all depends on rust, if that 62 was rust free, it would be worth quite a bit i think. being a 62, I wouldn't really want it, earlier frame and such, if i wer going to go for a Slick, i would go for a 65/66 1/2ton. although the fenders on the 62 do look a little odd, they don't look as thin as they should imo.
nice finds though. I would gladly take either of them
I know of a few 61-66 trucks that have a 57-60 box, there is one in Clavet that you can see from highway. The 57-60 box is a pain to repair in the back. The 61-66 I'm not sure If I've ever really seen a rusty one. Slicks were good for little rust.
theres definetly some weird stuff happening in throughout the difrent years of Slicks, just like pretty much any other year of Ford.
the fenders just looked odd to me, there arch looks more like 1/2ton fenders than the 4x4/250 and up fenders.
I know my 65 would have been rust free except for designer error. although what happened to mine may not affect a 63, as a think their inner cab structure is diffrent(ie floor and inner steps)
