i have a 95 bronco. 351w. i bought a new cam for it. If i change the cam, anyone had good luck with any in particular? i found a cool kit that includes cam, timing chain and gears. double roller. and lifters. its from comp cams. any thing else i should change?
I used the Comp Cams 268H in my 76 w/390 and it really did well. Only had issues with umbrella valve seals due to lift. Installed fresh seals and it resolved the problem.
There are only certain cam grinds you can use and still pass emissions and run fuel injection easily. I'd contact company and see what they say. I bet that the emissions kit is more. There have been several posts on what cam grind is friendly to your needs Good luck
I have to agree with Lostin... If you are under emissions rules, really watch the grind as too much will mess with both emissions and FI. The truck I used that cam in was "pre-emissions" and utilized a Edelbrock carb and stock cast manifolds. As for power, it hit hard at 1800 and pulled strong to 5,000. Damn thing got almost 18 mph at 90 when everything started working together.
