There are currently a multitude of locks available for RVs that fit the same opening and can not be opened with a 751 key.

These were put out by Hudson Lock Co. I'm sure there are many companies with the same keyways, just different cuts.

The lock cylinders themselves are standard cut, I always told customers that if they had a 751 key they should look into display cabinet locks at a hardware store.

Easy to change, it's usually held in place by a spring clip that can be pulled out with pliers.

Lots of places to buy them including RV suppliers. A number of manufacturers also are no longer using 751s.

Wow very interesting info!

Does this apply to older campers as well?

I replaced every single compartment lock on my '87 Class C, with the same locks, so 1 key opens 'em all. The original ones, had 1 key for every lock! I had way to many keys and got fed up with it.

My keys for my new locks (new from like 10 years ago) are LS301.

I wanna try my key in the other campers stored along with mine, see if it works.

Ooh! Be careful at that, you might want to do so only after talking with another owner who is present at the time.

Now me personally - I still have a nearly complete master set of trimark and other keys, 18 or so altogether including the most common
*Five of them are color coded red
