So anyway, several of you have helped me out on decisions with building the 302 I planned on putting in my 94 F 150, but lo and behold, before doing anything with it, I happened upon a much bigger and stronger motor that I'm planning on dropping in it instead.
So anyway, I'm thinking about possibly selling the 302 I have. It's in an 89 Lincoln LSC and I'll pull the electronics and everything to go with it. It only has 83,000 on it but what I need to know is what it's worth ?
I've bought the same car with about the same miles on it, same engine for $500. Car was wrecked but driveable. That give you an idea? The Lincoln Mark VII's are a great, cheap source for serviceable 5.0 HO motors now. There's lots of these cars out there. everything about the Lincoln 5.0 HO is the same as the same year Stang HO motor excepting the alternator and brackets for the alternator.
I have a whopping $300 in the car, got it from a buddy, it's a California car, no rust, just needs a good buffing but has a bad trans in it. The front seats are in my truck though, wanted the buckets. If you want it LX, I'm on the northside of Indy. I'll get you my number, make ya a real good deal.
ROFL, hey, if you want the car, it's yours, come and get it. It's all there and everything works, it needs a little spiffing up, but it runs great, doesn't use any oil or anything. I'd redo it and keep it but dont really want it. I found a guy that has a 73 Torino and a 74 Montego for sale, wants $1500 for both and I'm going to try and get em. The Torino is drivable as is, just needs fixed up a bit and painted, the body on the Montego is pretty rough, but has a 429 packed under the hood.
Nahhh, I've already decided I'm not keeping the car, otherwise I would buy it off you, it would be worth it in that aspect. I have a couple other projects going on at the moment or I would. The plan was to build that 302 for my truck till I found this other deal, and now it's looking like the 351 in the one Torino will go in my 94 with the 429 going in my 49. The 302 might be good for my 29 but I already have a good lil 283 in it, so no reason to replace it aside from being a Chevy motor. lol
I'll contact you privately. I have a 90 with 85,000 miles on it. Runs like a top, just needs a few odds and ends like door lock motors and the multi-function switch in the steering column.
