Brought the truck to the stealership on mon. the auto locking hubs would not engage. They put two new hubs in and fixed a bad tie rod. When I brake hard I get a bad vibration in the the whole truck. The rotors are the powerslot with hawk pads with less then 8000 miles on them. Did the stealership put my truck back together wrong? At a loss with this problem. I really don't want to bring it back and be without a truck for anthor day.
I would jack it up, loosen and retorque the lug nuts first. The simple things on these trucks can make a world of difference. Make sure they aligned the front end after the tie rod end replacement. If they replaced the o-rings which is likely they might of removed the calipers and the pins might need lubing or the pads are in at a diagonal angle and binding. Those would be the things I would look at since they are likely suspects and easily fixed.
I know how you feel. It sucks when having them make it right means another day w/o your truck. That's why I when mine was out of warranty I do it all since then.
I took my old car for new tires to a tire store and when I drove off for the first time, the steering wheel just about jumped out of my hands when I hit the brakes the 1st time. Like the above post, recheck your lug nuts for proper torqueness..
I was not lucky just to re-torque them, they warped my rotors so bad I had to get them turned.. They are suppose to use torque wrenches now days and have not had that problem recently..
I agree with the above. Simple tire check and lugs. Mine and 2 other truck seem to eat alignments. If its warranty Id make them get dirty and fix it right.I think its illegal in my state to have a dealer release an unsafe vehicle without consent or sumdin lik dat.
the same thing happens to me too when ibrake the whole truck shakes and pulls my truck to the right and when i took it in to get my bearings done they said i have warped rotors so that might be the problem too
