Hi Everyone, As some of you know I picked up the motor mount brackets for the engine swap yesterday. While I was there I found a power steering gear box with pitman arm, Searching through the threads it seems that I will have to shorten the stock steering shaft or find a different one, Can someone help with any other things I mite run in to with this swap,
Thanks for the help, Bill W

If you "accidentally" got a Bendix box, it should bolt in. The Bendix box is sought after by some and hated by others. (Do a search for "Bendix".) The Bendix box has and "extra" cylinder cast into the side of the main casting, while the Ford/Saginaw box looks like an overgrown version of your manual box. Actually you should be able to use a tape measure and compare a few dimensions and see if the box will fit. If it will, then it is a Bendix.
Have the same setup on 65 F100 with the T18 4speed so the column was not an issue, just needed to go w/ shortened shaft. Another option is going w/ later model column and either using spacers where column mounts at dash, or swapping column mounts from original to replacement.
