Wink Differential Question

I have a 2001 v6 f150 & was wondering if it was possible to put on a harley davidson differential ranging 00-02 yrs. without having to make any modifications or if there is a big difference in differential settings...reason is harley already come with gears posi traction so i read & thats what i need! might come cheaper for me to buy diffential than upgrade mine with all the mods! ANY HELP would really aprreciate. THANKS IN ADVANCE<<<<

I'm guessing here a little bit. Your truck has a 8.8" rear axle and the Lightning will have a 9.75" axle. That difference alone to me says that the drive shaft flange is different. So with that in mind it will not be a direct swap. Someone else that knows for sure will chime in soon. Good luck!

A Harley will have a 9.75 just like the Lightning. And I don't think you will find one very easy.
Better off just getting new gears and a L/S diff put in your 8.8

That would be easiest if all you want is the posi and gears, I assume you have a 2wd so a regear and posi should run under $1K, the axle you want alone would run that then there is installation/fabrication. Any F150 with a 5.4L has the 9.75 rear BTW.

Stick with the 8.8 and put your own unit in (I'd do some gears will I was in there if that's an option). It's a fine rear end, especially for the V6.

The 9.75 is going to take a little more power to turn. Plenty other ways to get limited slip than going with a Harley/Lightning rear.
