97 F250 HD question

Im looking into buying a used 1997 F250 HeavyDuty XLT Scab 4x4 with the 7.5L V8, i was wondering if anyone has this truck or something similar to give me some info about. How does it ride? any problems? comments? things like that.

It rides like a 3/4 ton truck, not a car. The 7.3 had been around a couple of years by 97 so they should have the bugs worked out on that one.

Sorry, the 460 is big, powerful and likes gas.

You really need to know the trans, gear ratio and tire sizes for that. I would expect, all things being equal, they would be close.

I just got general comments. It produced 240 HP (1992-1997 trucks). The same block was used in 4 different sizes - 370CI 6.1L, 429CI 7.0L, 460CI 7.5L, & 514CI 8.4L (crate engine through special order only - never came in a vehicle). This is classified as the 385 series engine family; produced from 1968-1997.
