Michelin Tire Question

Thank's everyone for all of the good knowledge about my tires that this ford forum has. After reading all of the anwsers that I got back from my question. You all have me thinking on which is the best tire to put on my ford excursion. I thought that Michelin was the best tire you could buy. Maybe they are not. So is there any tire sold that is better than Michelin. If there is, I will send my Michelin tires back to the factory and buy the better ones that you suggest that is made. Thank's alot again for the info. Stock 2001 Ford Excursion XLT 4X4 V-10 with 265/75/R16 on the X now.

I'm a mechanic for a Michelin, Firestone/Bridgestone, General, Continental tire dealership in southwest Missouri.

Far as a good tire. i really don't think you'll beet the Michelin LTX MS. I've seen our salespeople get 90 and even 100k on those tires. Keep them rotated, air pressure set, and aligned and they won't let you down.

There probably are satisfied owners of other brand/models of tires, but I'm going with LTX M/S Michelins when I get a little more wear on the Pirelli's that came on mine. I can't see dumping the OEM's, but can't justify replacing them before their time.

I replaced the Firestones That came on the '00 with Michelins and I was really pleased with them. Pricey, though.
