then no downshifting with the auto...if you want take it out of OD but don't downshift....i'm not sure if it will hurt anything but i wouldn't do it...
bad juju to downshift an automatic on a regular basis. when towing or on really steep roads, I can totally see using the transmission to slow your vehicle down to prevent overheating the brakes...but only when needed.
regular use of the transmission to slow the vehicle down puts more wear/tear on the system for no real reason. use your brakes and save the transmisson. why do you think the engineers gave us brakes?
