catalytic converter
hi i just put a complete exhaust on my 97f150 4.6 from the headers to the new h-pipe converters and catback but i took it for a ride when i was done and smelled something i just figured it was because it was new but i looked
under the truck and the passenger side cats were glowing red i cant figure it out

The cat probably isn't bad - yet....
You may have too much fuel being dumped in to the system and the unburned fuel is cooking off in the cats. This will melt them in short order.....
Common reasons are misfires, bad O2 sensors, or leaky injectors if the glowing cat is limited to only one side.

catalytic converter problem ok
let me start by saying wow what a mess , put everything new on found out there was a short in the wireing harness , the # 3,#4 cylinder wasn't getting power all the time , then one of the new o2 censors were bad then i just tuned it up with original ford stuff runs just like it did when i brought it home from mullinax ford thanks for the helps PROJECTSHO89
