I have a 94 f250 with 6 inches of lift and 35" bfg mts it has a 351 with e-fans. Gears are 3.55s which are killing me and everthing else appears to be stock, although it does appear to pull posi. I bought this truck from a fellow and am now going bogging at a mud bog this weekend. Any tips?
If you have an automatic...try 1st gear and 4-hi....OR....2nd gear and 4-lo. It all depends on the mudhole and your truck. I havent seen or driven either...so Im just giving you ideas to try out before the big day.
If you have a 5 speed...I like to use start out in 2nd gear, 4-lo, get your RPM's up and then hammer 3rd gear just before entering the hole....
But...you gotta try it yourself and see what works best for you and your truck.
use low range, I used to race with 34s and 3.50 gears and did very well with it but always run low range, I still run low range in the ranger and I have 4.63 gears and enough power that I should be able to pull hi (I actually can but quicker in low).
