I just replaced my 04 elbow and throttle body with an 05-07 power elbow which eliminates the throttle body. Just wondering what you guys do with the two wire harnesses that are left just hanging and will this throw a code? thanks

You have an 04? Did you check to see if there were any connection on the throttle body? My late 03 had no connections, just the harnesses plugged into the connections. Have a look... If there was no connections, then there will be no codes. For the wires, I routed mine up to and around the EGR connection in kind of a braided thing... Just keep them away from the HOT stuff.
if there is no pins in the connectors like mine and other peps then it will not throw any codes but i would however wrap them in elec tape and maybe zip tie them out of the way...
I love it plus the new one looks nice with the boost port and line. I covered my boost line with red plastic conduit and it looks great. I will take pics of it and my new gauge setup and post soon.
Does anyone have the part #'s for this power elbow change out...Is it all from Ford? Thanks
None of the "after market" power elbows are from Ford. Personally, I purchased mine from intakeelbows.com
What year is your truck? Oh, never mind. I see it's an 04... What's the consensus on the 04 elbow of choice? Is it a code on the 04 if the throttle body gets unplugged and removed? If it's not a code thrower, and I don't think it is, you have the choice of using the 05-07 elbow that has better flow characteristics. That's what I'm using. Here is the original thread I started on my power elbow install.
I was a little confused on what you were saying by using the 05 to 07 elbow. It sounded like it was a better Ford part that could fit the 03-04. I have read the aftermarket advertisments. After looking at mine it appears the intakelbows replacement takes the place of the factory elbow and the throttle body. Right?
My 04 looks a little smoother than the 05 at least in pictures. With that said since the replacement takes the place of 2 items the flow angle id obviously better. I'm going to look at the "plug in" and see it it goes to anything before I make any decisions.
I like ideas which add power, drivability, milage, without doctoring up the power with the computer. Just my way.....Thanks Oz
Installed mone yesterday on my 05. It's been raining so I can't keep the rear end from spinning so I'm not sure of the sop difference. EGT seems the same also with no muffler. I will say up a steep grade with cc on it seems to run about 5 lbs less boost than before, so I assume that it is running more efficient. RPM"s seemed to have dropped a little at same speed also. I do believe that mpg will be a little better. Now I'm thinking about the fluidamper, I like the idea of a little added power with the benefit of longevity!

Yup, efficiency is up if the power is the same or better, MPG's are better, and boost is lower. To me it seems to equal longer life of all related components. As for the fluidampr, I know only this much...
