I brought the truck, my 1995 F350 with 460 motor to the dealer because the truck was having hard starting after it was warm. They said it was because it was leaking coolant out of the lower intake mount, and taking air in, and the radiator was leaking. So I had all that replaced, and of course while they were in there they replaced a boat load of other stuff. They had to replace the EGR tube because when they were taking off the manifold and snapped off, and then had to replace a motor mount as well. So after 10 days I get my truck back. And of course, after having this service done for about a month, I get home to load up my snowmobile, I shut the truck down, and me and my buddies load up, and I go to hit the key, and it makes this low, moan, and silence, then all of a sudden musters up enough strength to start. And then it idles and runs good from there. So I one completely upset after dropping 1,500 dollars at the dealer, to even be remotely experiencing this still. Its really embarrassing, and annoying. Any ideas what it is? The alternator and battery are brand new, only other thing I could think it could be is bad compression, hot fuel, or bad starter. Other than that I would have assumed the dealer would have picked that up. It does this since about a week of having it when I got it back, but this recent one was the worse. I am surprised because the trucks runs so mint when its warm. But, like I posted in the cooling forum, the trucks temperature is always below the normal heating temperature, so I dont know if that has anything to do with it.

did you ever replace your battery cables? all of them? next place to look would be the starter... pull it out and have it tested- napa and most other parts stores will test them for free. also get your battery load tested... ive had batteries that fried in less than a month
if i were you id take a hold of your distributor and make sure it hasnt come loose and been knocked around to mess up your timing when they were in there working...
another good point, something tiny like that. Hopefully its a quick fix like that, just like to get past the starting problems, and move on. Tho would that explain why it only does it when its warm?
