First post so go easy on me. HAHA. When I have my hubs locked on my 1994 PSD I get a vibration that starts about 50 mph and gets worse to 60 and stays that way. It seems to come from the left front area and was wondering if anyone could give me a likely source.
the truck has about 100000 miles and was not offroad or anything like that. The truck is new to me and I don't know if this has been with the truck for awhile. Thanks, Joe

first of all welcome to FTE. If the vib is only there with the hubs locks in you have a u-joint that is bad either in the axle shaft or the front drive shaft. if it happens even when the hubs are unlocked then you need to start by getting the tires ballanced.
To easy does if it does it with the hubs locked, does not do it when hubs are not locked, you more than likely have a bad U joint more than likely from tranfer case to axle. Need some details on the truck, i.e. 250/350 and year to get a beter idea what axle you are looking at under there, but the drive line is more on the driver side then the pax which would account for the left side issue. I dont think it is in the axle as you would hear noise when turning, but dont rule it out.
grab the short axle and give it a yank check for loose or sloppiness and replace both joints while you have it out.
drive your truck 15 min a month at road speed with hubs locked to keep things lubed and free
