05 screw with 26k right rear rotor is all torn up caliper has to be sticking just bought the truck and put less than 1k on it dealer did the big checkout on the truck when they recieved it on trade should i expect to eat the bill for this mess or will ford or dealer make this right
Obviously the dealer did not "inspect" the truck properly, or it failed quickly after you got it which should not be the case with a 05 with 26k on it.
It should be under warranty either way with 3/36 or at least under the dealership used warranty... I would not expect for the fix. Actually I would make it a point that I did not pay for it!
Dealer BETTER make it right. I'm on a dealer rant lately as I recently discovered that they "forgot" to include a few items with my truck when I bought it. Like the wireless headphones, the remote control for the dvd, the owner's manual, little things... DON'T let them off the hook.
i feel the same way i have put just short of 900 miles on and i think there 112 point safety check is an absolute joke trying to keep a level head truck goes in the morning to get looked at and i am trying to keep cool till i hear what they have to say i am normally a calm diplomatic sort of person but i iam not about to take this one on the chin thanks for the vent time
I aggree... but do not be too forceful at first. Let them know of the problem, and let them know you are okay with it.. just not happy! Then work on them as they decided what and how to do things...

just an update took the truck in this morning tech drove it then told me rr caliper was hanging up service manager told me ford only stands behind brakes 12months or 12k and that their would be costs to me involved i got a little bent but managed to keep cool so tech tore the truck apart and said that rr caliper was completly froze up and this was a common problem the salesman who sold the truck to me came over and started talking and i let him know politely that i was not happy he went to check on things about 2 minutes later service manager came out said that they ordered parts and they would fix the truck this afternoon at no charge to me gave me a loaner and here i am just a little info on my situation

WOW! You may have won the FTE award for the longest sentence on record! At least top three for sure. I'm glad you are getting it fixed. Was it the rear caliper or the E-brake? The E-brake hanging up is the common problem.
Had the same thing happen last week to my 05 the right rear caliper was stuck slightly on and frozen..make sure your rotor was not warped from the excess heat build up..my dealer replaced the caliper and both sides rear brake pads under warranty looks like there might be an issue with the rear calipers getting wiped out on these new 150s as my dealer never questioned it and the mechanic knew what it was right away.
