EARLY 99 F250 rear caliper,,,different?

sos I have a 1999 (pre 12-1999)...this means the rear calipers vary from all the other super dutys on the pass. side caliper, well it is sticking and no auto store around has the caliper...they have the drivers side but no pass. side.
HTe bolts are a different size I can tell right away but has anyone replaced there calipers on the early 99's and how did you get the caliper...or is it really the same as the other ?

Thanks

Interesting. I looked up the caliper online, and all they appear to have available at A****** Auto is the left side. That does seem a bit odd. I just did my rear brakes this past weekend, and the slide pins and boots they gave me were the wrong ones. The caliper bolts were bigger than the OEMs, so I didn't use them. Last I serviced rear wheels, about 7 years ago, I used anti seize on rotors, bolts, etc, and everything came apart as if it were brand new.
Oh, BTW, my truck build date is 2/98, but front hubs and rotors are later style.

YEP...odd indeed...but for the record. last nite when i replaced the left side...I removed the right side and put the left side caliper on it...and it fit fine...(???!!!) so I will be buying another left side caliper ***'y and putting it on the right side...bleeder screw is on the high side, brake line looks like it will reach...I see no reason that ford listed them differently...and the "bigger" caliper bolt i mentioned, it was just the head of the bolt, the threaded portion was identical..explaing that.

I have no explanation for you, but if it works, then all is good ! My luck is taking a dump at the moment tho. On my way home from buying a tool yesterday, my truck started pulling to the right, then started shaking the front end. Step on brakes and it pulled to the left. I suspect a front wheel hub has taken a dump. I have to wait for the rain to quit so I can check it out.

I was looking for an issue with my truck today. When placing the floor jack, I glanced at the rear calipers. I realized that the left side had the caliper mounted in front of the axle, and the right caliper was mounted behind the axle. That explains the reason there is only one caliper listed. The light bulb is lit, lol.

YEP ! and or maybe i should say "but" the auto stores only list a left side in there computers even tho there are both the same. I installed the new one last nite, bled it off, and it should werk like a champ i expect...its the same. nice they did that really, only 1 part they hafta produce. They changed them to both rear mounted i believe as the left side was being hit by rocks off the front tire and they had a recall which installed a shield to protect the brake line from damage. See if your truck has this shield otherwise ya might talk toa dealer about getting it installed, it was free due to the recall.

You would think they would list the right side caliper, just calling out the same part number, or show one caliper for both sides. And mine already has the shield installed on the left side.
