MY REAR WINDOW

Ok,
So my rear window wont operate when I uses the key in the tailgate on my 78 Bronco, but it works just fine when I use the lever on the dash. Any help with this problem would be great.

I had the same problem with my '78 Bronco, turned out to be the wire on the left side of the tailgate that comes from the key switch. It was severed on the inside of the wire coating. Took me a few minutes too find it. Just a thought. Good Luck. Rob

Here's something else to check..... I'm not sure of what differences there were between '78 and '85, but mine is wired so that each circuit (the one running to the keyed switch, and the one running to the dash switch) has its own fuse. I had the exact same problem you've described. I checked out the switch and wiring before going to the fuse box. The fuse controlling the keyed switch circuit was bad, and a replacement solved the problem (the dash switch had always operated the rear window with no problem).
