4 wheel drive problem
i tried to engage front drive last weekend and could not get it to work.dash lights for both high and low come on and i can hear a click when i turn the switch but no traction from front end.i had the hub lock engaged manully.thanks.

Do you get a click or clunk from underneath or just from the dash?
If from dash only, there is a problem with the gearmotor wiring or assembly.
If from underneath, there is a problem with the hub(s)

Recently i could not get mine into 4wd..... without locking the hubs manually. The light would go on inside the cab and i could also hear a click but the hubs would not engage.
I checked the fuses and discovered a 10amp fuse was blown which activated the vacuum pump. That not only solved the problem with the 4x, but also my A/C vents as well.
#27 is the fuse......

i unpluged electric connection from pump and sprayed it and after replacing it 4 wheel drive engaged.is the hub on drivers side on ex supposed to be turned manually?i have never been able to turn mine.thanks.
